Surface Modification

About the service

This is the act of modifying the surface of an object by bringing physical, chemical or biological characteristics different from the ones originally found on its surface. At Revive Medical Technologies we offer a range of surface modification services which include the following:

Abrading

Abrading is carried out to scrape, grind and polish a surface of a component  or device to even out the surface layer and remove any irregularities / defects. It is also done to pre-prep a part for further surface modification processes like painting. This can involve sanding, buffing or sandblasting

Surface Paint

Surface Paint is carried out to apply a smooth / uniform layer of paint over a part or device to improve surface aesthetics and in some cases provide a protective coating layer.

Surface Etching

Surface Etching uses chemicals such as acids to cut into unprotected parts of metallic part to create design or pattern.

Acid Pickling

Acid Pickling is type of surface cleaning process in which a chemical solution is used to remove surface layers to expose non-contaminated material surface while also deburring cut regions. This is especially useful in cleaning metallic parts that have been laser cut.

Passivation

Passivation is conducted to treat metallic parts to form an oxidation layer to prevent them from corrosion.

Electropolishing

Electroplating is a carried out to metal coat a part with a conductive outer layer which provides strength and smooth surface finish. Copper, Nickel and Zinc electroplating can be carried out on both metallic and non-metallic parts.

Electroplating

We embrace an iterative approach to prototype development, which means we allow you to refine your designs and make improvements along the way. This flexibility enables you to adapt and enhance your concept as it takes shape. Our iterative approach ensures that your end product aligns precisely with your initial vision and performs flawlessly in real-world scenarios. We encourage feedback and collaborate with you to fine-tune the prototype until it perfectly matches your expectations. This iterative methodology ensures that your final product will not only meet but exceed your initial vision.
